What should be done when the reducer of LD type electric single-girder crane suffers wear?
In practical application, LD electric single-girder cranes operate at an extremely high frequency. As a result, their driving wheels and reducers have to run frequently to satisfy the operation demands of the equipment.
When subjected to repeated start-ups, stops and emergency stops, the crane reducer is prone to severe wear and even oil leakage. What effective solutions can be adopted to address such problems?
In the event of reducer faults on cranes, traditional repair methods are overlay welding and brush plating, both of which have obvious drawbacks. Overlay welding tends to produce irreversible thermal stress, resulting in deformation or fracture of parts. Meanwhile, brush plating is greatly restricted by coating thickness, failing to fundamentally eliminate the defects.
Hence, it is advisable to replace the raw materials of reducer components with high-molecular HDPE material. This method avoids thermal stress caused by overlay welding and is free from thickness limitations for repair. More importantly, it can prevent reoccurring wear, greatly extend the service life of the reducer, and lower the failure rate of the crane equipment.
