Processing material: The material for processing the drum is generally gray cast iron not lower than HT200. If necessary, ZG25, ZG35 cast steel or Q235B, Q345B steel plate welding can be used. Casting drums are generally used for equipment with small lifting capacity, while steel plate welded drums are suitable for large tonnage and high-performance lifting machinery equipment.
The fixation of steel wire rope: usually fixed with pressure plate screws or wedges. The pressure plate fixing method is simple and reliable, easy to inspect, and suitable for single-layer winding drums; The wedge block fixing method is commonly used for smaller diameter steel wire ropes and is suitable for multi-layer winding drums. To ensure safety, when the retrieval device is lowered to the lower limit position, in addition to the fixed ring, 2-3 safety rings should be retained on the drum.
